It takes the joke "toxic yuri because the gays are literally radioactive" and runs with it to the end of the world. It's a game that drags you down to its level, rots your defenses and just has you laugh along with its juvenile and irreverent humor.
Underneath all the poison jizz and endless fucking, is there an understated theme of how society cares too much about the personal lives and relationships of queer people? A tug at the string of thought about how marginalized groups can weaponize their struggles and begin to believe they are justified in causing harm and violence, first against the common folk and eventually even against their own, making up new excuses as things get worse and worse?
If you were to ask Uranium Gays those questions, it would just shrug and reply with "idk lol".
It takes the piss and drinks it too. Real punk stuff, I liked it.
this was very fun to play and so goofy, i really liked the immediate running start into the story, i think it suited the fast pace and silly nature the mix of the sprites with the photographic backgrounds was very fun, i really liked the vibes it gave off, also the bouncy sprites were very fun to watch this game and characters are very zany but they take themselves seriously which makes the crazy events feel all the more silly and fun! short but also very fun, definitely recommend!!!
this is the funniest interpretation of toxic yuri that ive read so far. what the fuck are these sound effects they keep making me laugh. the worldbuilding details of how people are dying were great, and the dialogue is really genuinely funny to me. joy's genuine anger and frustration is depicted in a very ridiculous and over the top way that i can enjoy it
i also really love the goofy aesthetics here, with the music, text display, and overall visual presentation. i want more games where the characters are just floating face sprites moving around the screen
rum is insane and a fun character. FORTY SEVEN TIMES?
i also think this is a genuinely interesting premise and the conflict is intriguing. i love the disregard for scientific accuracy. thank you so fucking much for making this. genius conclusion. shoutout to kitakawa
genuinely hysterical. i think it's so difficult to be purposefully funny, much less w/ something written and made in a handful of days. very much enjoyed.
Toxic yuri can save the world. Maybe even the universe.
Very funny. Refreshing to see something comedic from this jam (notwithstanding the implications of 'uranium gays' being hunted down for their bedroom activities... I think there might be something more to this!)
came here expecting 0% disappointment and man was i not wrong, this shit will be taught in schools one day. my only hope for the future is that more people will appreciate the gays of uranium. the uranium gays.
Played this in a call with friends with each of us interpreting the characters and narration and I feel this is the intended experience. I say this as the highest form of praise.

this is a masterpiece
this introduced me to an entire new genre of game i was unaware of. i must make a viprpg of my own in the future...
the rm2k trappings truly elevate the succinct yet deeply affecting narrative voice on display here
how the fuck am i supposed to compete with this
LOL
this is peak jfc
this showed up because I followed you for chinese family dinner moment
gotta say this is a unique sequel but i agree toxic yuri would’ve fixed it by killing everyone
Talented, brilliant, amazing, showstopping
This crashed on my steam deck when i hit reset
also there isnt really an exit button, so crashing the game is the only way to close it on the deck
otherwise 10/10 peak
