good game... The true ending is pretty damn good I'd say, as recontextualisation of the whole thing. My first reaction to reading it was one of rejection but it quickly turned into curiosity. The afterword then served as a way for me to connect with the ideas layed out in the ending. Both in the way, that I have thought similarly about death before and that it served as a reminder of a story happening in my (kind of) distant family right now. At least for me that makes the afterword in a way essential, like a part of the work itself, so I'd encourage everyone to read it as well! Good work!

Pretty cool! Don't have really anything smart to say, but I like that you varied a bit the delivery between fonts, sentences that bring you somewhere, sentences that don't, sentences to see next sentence and sentences that are next sentence.

i really loved this game, liked both endings, i just wish there was a map showing off the building's structure and maybe the last ending could've been a bit more developped imho, but still great work!!

also, genuine question, is there a specific reason or thought behind the fact that every character uses they/them pronouns? i believe it is the best decision since it's up to the player's imagination the rest of the character

There’s at least two reasons why I went with they/them pronouns for pretty much everyone:

  1. I didn’t want to gender any character, not just for LGBTQ+ reasons but I think alien worlds would have their own thing resembling gender. It’d be strange if even the most Earth-like planet just has the same gender norms as we do!

  2. For imagination reasons as you’ve stated. It’s also why I went with rather generic names. I’ve always felt fantasy/science fiction is best served with a healthy dose of minimalism!

Dig a bit guys, this game more than just walking around. Be sure to stick around for the afterword.

Please rate this game folks!
