That took me a while to write and edit because I got pretty nauseous. I think what I ended up works really well for what it is without sensationalizing what happened.
Definitely one of my proudest moments figuring this out, so thanks for playing the game :-)
From someone who's had a lot of experience writing parsers, it's neat to see when people come over from choice.
Figuring out what you have to do was a good puzzle/problem. It's likely not something a more established parser author would think of doing & shows the value of new ideas and persepectives!
Also, I've been trapped in family dinners like this, too. It's no fun, even if things were much more benign for me.
Thanks for the devlog and the inspirational notes as well! And for writing the postmortem on intfiction.org too. (Maybe I missed the link to it here. I think people on itch would definitely be interested.)
I appreciated the setting and the richness of the detail, but I bounced off the controls. This is likely a me problem, I’m not experienced in parsers, so the right command never occurred to me, and I had to beg for help on the intfiction thread, but it did make the game a little harder to get into.
At the end it ended, but I am not sue why it ended at that point.

A proof that a game does not need to be long to be memorable.
The leg scene surprised me because it was a. Suddenly in a different language b. I know the language (a rare thing to encounter in English games)
Haha, thanks. I wanted to make that scene as authentic as possible.
The leg scene really got to me. o_o

Woops, I got distracted on Discord. I was going to cross-post the postmortem, haha.
This was such a great way to tell a story in a parser game! It captured the MC's emotions so well.
